A long trek to Elsenham for a 10.30am kick off on a very sunny Sunday morning. The second time round for us against an Elsenham side that had obviously improved as the season had progressed based on their latest results. We only had the bare minimum of players so we would have to let our football do the talking.

As is our want we started the game very fast and should have got our first goal within a minute, but after a fantastic run down the right wing Tom decided to pass the ball rather then go for goal.

Two minutes and we had forced the first corner, only for Marcus to shoot over the bar.

The Tigers start to apply more pressure and on 7 minutes after a goalmouth scramble Alex sees his goal bound shot helped on by an Elsenham Defender for goal one.

Even more pressure on 8 minutes and Tom fires over the bar from a Marcus cross.

10 minutes and Charlie saves for Elsenhams first corner of the game. Tom runs the ball out of defence from the resulting corner but looses the ball to an Elsenham defender who concides a Broadhall throw around the Elsenham penalty area.

12 minutes some more good work sees lain spread a ball out to Marcus who passes the ball across the full width of the pitch, for Tom (who is unmarked) to run on goal and score goal 2.

Having gone two nil down Elsenham start to fight back and Charlie 1 is again forced into a good save on 14 minutes.

The game is beginning to open up and at the other end of the pitch, Dominic sees a goal bound header saved at the far post by the Elsenham keeper.

A spell of pressure by Elsenham is delt with by the defense.

On 22 minutes Tom is fouled just outside of the Elsenham penalty area, Lain takes the free kick and Tom puts the ball just wide with the keeper beat.

keiran is also beginning to have more say on the proceedings and is in the thick of anything good happening in midfield and on 25 minutes he puts a great ball through for Marcus to fire just over the bar.

28 minutes and Charlies pulls of another great block, and one of the Elsenham forwards hits the cross bar on the rebound.

The last action of the half is a throw in again at the Elsenham end of the pitch for one of the defenders to blast the ball into his own side netting whilst under pressure.

Half time 0-2 with the Tigers having the majority of the possession and very unlucky not to be a lot more up.

Again the Tigers come out strong and on 32 minutes a beutifull move between Keiran, Tom, Marcus see the ball go just wide.

33 minutes Dominic receives the ball back to goal and passes the ball to Paul but his shot is blocked by a defender with an open goal beckoning.

36 minutes and another beautiful move between Dominic, Lain, Tom and keiran sees him fire straight at the keeper.

The Tigers are in full flow now with more and more of our passing game on show and on 39 minutes Matt, Marcus, Alex plays more good football but Tom is just off side.

40 minutes Tom, keiran fires just wide.

46 Minutes Matt Dominic fires just wide.

47 Minutes another Tom run, sees him fire just wide.

50 Minutes Tom crosses to Dominic who on the volley hits the cross bar.

52 Minutes again more good passing sees Paul to lain to Dominic and Tom who is just off side.

55 minutes Elsenham win a free kick just outside the penalty area for Charlie 1, yet again pulling off another great save.

The second half was very much contested by Elsenham, but for some grate defending and great keeping the Tigers should have increase their lead by 4 or 5 more goals.
